The person responsible for this attack was<strong>&nbsp;WannaCry<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>Ransomware<\/strong>&nbsp;which has earned the &quot;title&quot; of being the most damaging cyberattack in history, infecting more than 250,000 computers in over 170 countries in just three days.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Evolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>He&nbsp;<strong>Ransomware&nbsp;<\/strong>It had already established itself as the preferred practice for the&nbsp;<strong>cybercriminals<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2016 and&nbsp;<strong>WannaCry&nbsp;<\/strong>This was confirmed in 2017 by the fact that such a massive cyberattack exploited a vulnerability patched by Microsoft two months prior\u2026&nbsp;<strong>cybersecurity<\/strong>&nbsp;He has a very long road ahead.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Detection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>We can affirm that the&nbsp;<strong>security&nbsp;<\/strong>% does not exist 100% and there are attacks that cannot be stopped.<br>Future attacks by&nbsp;<strong>Ransomware<\/strong>&nbsp;They will hide their detection by limiting CPU usage and avoiding &#039;command-and-control&#039; actions, thus spreading more rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pay<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>Paying the ransom is not a measure considered by experts in&nbsp;<strong>security<\/strong>&nbsp;INCIBE (National Cybersecurity Institute) reminds us that making the payment does not guarantee that the attackers will decrypt our files... on the contrary, with that money we reward the campaign and encourage it to continue infecting.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>The best solution is anticipation\u2026 hence the importance of making copies of&nbsp;<strong>security<\/strong>, training the staff and realizing that&nbsp;<strong>security&nbsp;<\/strong>These recommendations go beyond the scope of the IT department and are very important.
