Microsoft SharePoint

WHAT IS MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT?

SharePoint SharePoint is a web-based collaboration system that uses workflow applications, list databases, and other web elements and security features to enable business teams to work together. SharePoint also gives organizations using the platform the ability to control access to information and automate workflow processes across all units.

Microsoft Cloud's version of SharePoint, SharePoint Online, has many additional integration capabilities with other cloud applications.

SharePoint offers numerous benefits, including increased productivity and improved information visibility, a significant advantage for businesses of all sizes. SharePoint's features focus on a collaborative experience that enables secure content sharing, management, and workflow collaboration.

SharePoint is easy for users to maintain and manage. It's also customizable and scalable, which allows businesses to use SharePoint in many different ways to increase their productivity.

According to Fortune 500, SharePoint has been a comprehensive platform for increasing productivity in companies across various sectors. The platform's numerous features greatly facilitate collaboration on ad-hoc projects and the establishment of standard business processes for sharing information, publishing documents, and recording data.

With SharePoint you can review documents to prevent unauthorized authorship, require approval before making them visible, receive notifications when documents are uploaded or changes are made, create workflows, and automate actions such as sending emails.

SharePoint's strength lies in its effort to display information about stored documents and changes that have been made.

SharePoint is typically used to provide a web-based space where users can upload documents and immediately share them with others who need to view them. However, it also allows for the creation of personal storage spaces (OneDrive). The approval and workflow features mentioned earlier can control how documents are shared and how users work with the information.

Links to shared documents or collaboration spaces can also be easily sent via email, making it easy for users to quickly find exactly what they want to see. Businesses frequently use SharePoint to publish information of general interest, such as HR documents, announcements, and notes, or to create projects that require team collaboration. It is also very useful for remote work or when team members are not in the same physical location.
