Google Assistant is now available in Spanish

The voice assistant of the world's most popular search engine has launched its Spanish version in the Google Allo smart messaging app, for both Android and iOS.

Amazon uses Echo and Apple has Siri. So Google couldn't be left behind and launched Google Assistant, a virtual assistant that talks to you and helps you with everyday tasks, thanks to artificial intelligence.

Now, Google has announced the first version of the Assistant in Spanish, representing a virtual assistant for the user that can solve more than one problem in their daily life.

The fact that the user regularly uses this assistant allows it to get to know the user better and better, for example, through their way of speaking, tastes, preferences, interests, etc. According to Google, the key to their assistant is based on conversation.

Furthermore, this intelligent assistant can understand the user's needs without requiring highly precise keyword searches. It can even handle conversational phrases. For example, to find out what the weather will be like in Barcelona this weekend, you don't need to type "cold weather Barcelona," but simply ask "Will I need a jacket this weekend?" This represents a significant advancement and a much more convenient and human way to interact with the virtual assistant.

What can it do for you?

  • Get answers; you can ask it when your favorite show is on, get help planning a trip, and more. The assistant will perform all the searches you request to provide you with the information you're looking for.
  • Make plans; by simply typing @google in the Allo chat, which you have with your friends, you can ask for suggestions of plans such as nearby restaurants or vegetarian restaurants, to go eat and how to get to the place.
  • To entertain yourself; You can ask the assistant to tell you something funny or entertaining, to explain jokes, games or stories when you are bored.
  • Get organized; It can offer you alarms, reminders and all kinds of help to better organize your time inside and outside of work.

Ask questions, set timers, add reminders, request games, ask for translations, request images or videos, etc. These are some of the things Google Assistant can do for you. For now, it depends on... Google Allo, But it is possible that later on it will be considered as an external app, which works on its own.
