End of extended support for Windows Server 2008

He January 14, 2020 Support for Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will end. This means that there will no longer be regular security updates, and the direct consequence will be leaving our infrastructure and applications unprotected.

What risks will arise?

The main risk will be the end of free support. As of February 14, 2020, no support will be available (except for paid Premium Assurance and only for Enterprise Agreement customers).
In the same way you will stop receiving security updates and patches, And you also won't get specific product information from Microsoft to find answers to technical questions.

How will it impact your business?

If no action is taken, starting on February 14, 2020, You will be more vulnerable to potential cybersecurity attacks on systems, databases, and applications. You will lose support for many of those commercial applications and tools.
Lack of security can jeopardize compliance with audits and increase spending on potential operations.
There will also be no defined software roles for Windows Server 2008 (or Windows Server 2008 R2).
